RED RUMPED PARAKEET

The Red-rumped Parrot, Psephotus haematonotus, also known as Grass Parakeet  Red-rumped Parrot is an ideal bird for the beginner, there is no experience needed and the noise level is low. They can be housed in breeding cages or aviaries. Red Rump Parakeets are hardy making them a good bird for beginners.

Sexing: Red-rumped  can be sexed visualy

Temperament:  Red-rumped  can be aggressive to the same species  and other birds. best is to keep them as pairs in one cage or a big aviary.

Breeding: Red-rumped Parrots can be easily bred in captivity.

Lifespan: Up to 25 years

Diet:  Seed mix, cockatiel mix with added canary seed.
