In captivity\u00a0we feed them parakeet mix, i add extra canary seed, nigger seed, help seed, oil sun flower and grip to the mix. Any\u00a0fruit and vegetable that comes available. i feed my birds, apples, celery, kale,\u00a0romaine\u00a0lettuce, <a href=\"http:\/\/feathersnfriends.net\/es\/product\/cede-egg-food-yellow-1-kg\/\">egg food<\/a> and plenty hemp seed\u00a0when cold weather or breeding season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #252525;\"><strong>BREEDING:<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #252525;\">Bourkes parakeets are relatively easy breeders.\u00a0once\u00a0they decide to breed\u00a0they\u00a0don&#8217;t\u00a0mind\u00a0nesting is a\u00a0parakeet\u00a0nesting box or even a\u00a0finch\u00a0box.\u00a0they\u00a0are not picky about nesting boxes. i\u00a0personally\u00a0use\u00a0English\u00a0nesting box for easy\u00a0inspection. Bourkes are not\u00a0jealous\u00a0to be check when\u00a0they have chicks, i can\u00a0peak\u00a0at their babies\u00a0with\u00a0the female not even moving from the nest.<\/span> Breeding season for the Bourkes parakeet tends to occur in spring time here in California.
