SHIPPING POLICY AND  HEALTH GUARANTEEE

Live arrival guaranteed. FEATHERS N FRIENDS WILL NOT FOLLOW ANY CLAIM  OF DEAD ARRIVAL AFTER 24 HOURS FOLLOWING DELIVERY OR DAY OF PURCHASE.

In the case a bird does not arrive alive,Feathers N Friends  must be notified within 24 hours following delivery or day of sale. Buyer must provide a picture of dead bird for Feathers N Friends to issue any credit if applicable. All sales are final on live animals. Please do your research prior to purchase a feathered friend. Feathers N Friends will not be held responsible for problems not apparent to us at the time of shipping or day of sale. Feathers N Friends will not be responsible for consequential damages.
Feathers N Friends is charging $134.95 for shipping and handling. This charge includes; airline approved crate and airline fees. We are using UNITED Petsafe program as our preffered  method of shipping.
The PetSafe program has the following features:

  • Pets travel within United’s specially designed plane compartments that are pressurized in the same way as passenger cabins.
  • A dedicated 24-hour PetSafe desk is available for help at any time (1-800-575-3335 or 1-832-235-1541).
  • Each pet shipment receives a confirmed booking prior to departure.
  • On the ground, both plane and warehouse facilities are climate-controlled for the safety of your pet. To ensure comfort in any weather conditions, pets will be the last cargo loaded and the first cargo unloaded from the plane.
  • Pets receive personal handling in climate-controlled vehicles for connections in United’s hubs if the animal will be exposed to temperatures greater than 85°F (29.5°C) for more than 45 minutes.

HEALTH GUARANTEE.

Feathers N Friends guarantees that birds will be healthy prior to shipment or sale.

We cannot assure that our birds are disease free or any or any preexisting problem as we don’t test our birds for any disease. We try to keep our birds as healthy as possible to eliminate the chance of illness, bacteria or any other sickness.

Buyer has 72 hours to take your bird/s to the vet; however buyer is fully responsible for any vet fees. If vet finds any life threatening issue with bird/s; buyer must let Feathers N Friends before 72 hours to honor our health guarantee and to get any credit or exchange. Buyer must provide proof of vet stating health of bird. If failed to do so, we will not follow any Claim nor we will issue any credit.

This Health Policy also applies to any local buyer.

SEX OF THE BIRD.

We do not guarantee sex of any bird. However We can DNA most of our birds to ensure accurate sex. There is a fee of $30 dollars fee to perform a DNA test. In the case that DNA is not requested, we will try to do our best to sex the bird by behavior, shape, pelvic, which is not 100% accurate but can help us to determine gender. In case we wrongfully sex your bird we are not responsible for that mistake, as we are using our best knowledge to determine its gender.

You are welcome to come In person and pick up bird/s if you are located near Los Angeles CA.

PLEASE give us a call prior to your visit as some of our birds offered online are housed in a different location.

There is a sales tax for CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY
